I seem to be spending more of my listening hours digging music from these shores at the moment, and here the UK takeover continues. Regular listeners to Gilles’ show will remember the repeat play afforded ‘All Ain’t The Same’, and the track that lends the LP its name reappears here as an alternative version, bringing maximum freshness to the package.

Bristol-based Ben Dubuisson initially created the set of instrumentals that forms the basis of this project before sending these digital files to Joseph Malik who voiced nine of tracks included here. The LP that straddles hip-hop and downtempo electronica is completed by a further five instrumentals of such appeal that further versions may well follow. Check out the backing vocals supplied by Louise Berry, also known as Lou Ange; her contribution is impressive and further, solo material is certainly hoped for.
