Dear Friends,

We have been so excited to make this announcement, and now everything has been confirmed, we can finally reveal all details about our beautiful new home for SunceBeat 3. 

The Garden Tisno is set in a gently hilly area which overlooks our own private bay with a shimmering sandy beach and crystal clear sea. The village of Tisno, split between the mainland and the island of Murter (joined by a 20m rising bridge), is just a ten-minute walk away, with a host of restaurants, cafes, apartments and small boutique hotels. Situated between Zadar and Split airports, our new home is easy accessible from all over Europe.

Today we can also make available for the first time our on-site accommodation options. The Garden Tisno has its very own village with 80 apartments holding 300 people, and 30 Indian Shikar tents with electric fans, lighting, proper beds, mosquito nets, a dressing room and porch area. There are also 120 pitches for people bringing their own tents.

Accommodation

There are two types of apartment available, and they offered on a first come, first served basis. All apartments are fully air conditioned, have a small kitchenette, dining area, bathroom and balcony or terrace. Check out images of the apartments and Sshikar tents:

We will also be setting up a beautiful camping area; comprising of just 30 Shikar tents from Jaipur for a feeling of sophisticated elegance. The Shikars have a floor area of 30m2, and have plenty of standing room, all with waterproof cotton exterior and individually handprinted cotton interior fabrics. Each Shikar can sleep a cosy maximum of 4 people, but they are very romantic for couples. They all have an open porch living area, main bedroom and separate dressing room. All come with a lockable safe (with pincode), mosquito nets (just in case), pretty interior and exterior electric lighting (so no fumbling with torches), comfy beds (maximum of 4 singles, but can be made as a double) with linen provided, and towels for the shower (block), plus 2 electric fans to keep you cool, hanging clothes storage in the dressing area, a washstand and mirror, and jute floor matting (no nasty plastic groundsheets), plus table and chair for your porch living area. We will also provide sleeping masks (eye masks) &earplugs - just in case your partner snores or you fancy an early night!

20 apartments for a maximum of 3 people
1 bedroom with 2 single beds & one single sofa bed in kitchen/living area.
Cost: 108 euro per night per apartment

Apartment Type B
60 apartments for a maximum of 4 people 
1 bedroom with 3 single beds &one single sofa bed in kitchen/living area
Cost: 144 euro per night per apartment

Shikar tent
Cost: 120 euro per night.

Booking Information

We have to prioritise bookings for 7 nights (any day arrival, except Saturday and Sunday). If we have gaps to fill for fewer days we will then look at shorter stays - you'll be put on a waiting list on a first come, first served basis.

If we are able to accommodate your reservation we will send you a deposit invoice within 48 hours - and payment for this is due within 72 hours. After this time we will have to offer to other guests.

A 50% deposit is required to reserve, with the balance due 6 weeks prior to arrival. The price does not include tourist tax = 1 euro per person per night. 

Accommodation in the village

Just a ten minute walk away from the festival site is the village of Tisno which has many more accommodation options in apartments and small, boutique hotels. For more information, gail@thegardenzadar.com will be able to assist you.

Buses, boat parties and Barbarellas

And there's more! Once the sun sets on the beautiful Dalmatian coast, we will be offering a return bus service to whisk you across to Barbarellas, a ten minute drive to a hidden corner of the coast where we can party under the stars till dawn. We'll be running a main stage and the Beat Bar here and with the line up we are working on at the moment, SunceBeat 3 guaranteed to be another unforgettable adventure! As usual we'll be running our twice daily parties on the Argonaughty seadog, including sunset trips close to the wonderful Kornati Islands, partying around the main stage and Tiki bar by day, and the brand new Barbarellas club by night. The entire site runs right along a truly gorgeous shoreline, so dancing right by the glittering waters under the sizzling sun or moonlit star-speckled sky remain, and with fiery Funktion 1 systems installed across all areas, it will sound as good as it looks! Already Tisno feels like home and we think it will for everyone else too.

A message from Alex

After Dave Gardner, Kev Beadle, Gavin Kendrick and Nick Connolly from the UpNorth team visited the new site last month, they were convinced that this was the perfect home for our magical event. And Alex Lowes, the founder of the Southport Weekender and SunceBeat, has just returned from the beautiful beaches of Queensland, Australia, to check out the new site for himself. He sends this message:

"I've heard all about it from the lads, but I had to see it for myself. This place is absolutely magnificent. The Village of Tisno and island of Murter are without a doubt some of the most beautiful places I have ever seen, and this was on a blustery day at the beginning of January! I'm sipping my coffee in one of the many lovely roadside cafés with the locals smiling away and saying hello - they know we are coming and are ready to welcome us with open arms. Our move to The Garden Tisno will take the event to whole new level with its on site apartments, stunning beach facing the Kornati Islands National Park, and the Argonaughty right there ready to take everyone on a fabulous musical journey. Along with the beach stage and on-site restaurants, and all being just a 10 minute walk from the beautiful village of Tisno, we couldn't ask for anything more. The brand new Barbarellas venue is set in an enchanted garden with a magical feel that has the potential to rival any club in the world. With the 25th Anniversary of the Southport Weekender in May and this now secured in a place I could not have dreamed of, I am more excited than ever for what 2012 will bring.
