There’s no way to prepare for stepping foot in The Powerhouse for the very first time. The largest indoor dance room in the UK is an awe-inspiring space, comfortably holding 2,000 dancing bodies. A raised stage covers the whole front of the room, showcasing our international line up of scene-leading soulful house DJs. The stage is flanked by screens broadcasting mind-blowing visuals, adding to the sensory overload created by a giant lighting rig and rumbling sound. Our custom built system blankets the room in warm, glowing sound; its clarity and depth is renowned. When dancing to the deep house beats served up by our Powerhouse DJs, the music isn’t just heard, it’s felt! ‘Big is beautiful’ could be the motto for the whole of the Southport Weekender, and nowhere is this more appropriate than in The Powerhouse.
